Happy 4th of July everyone!
I love the 4th of July! We live in a small town and there is a small parade and in the evening, there's a Freedom Festival at the High School. The fireworks are the BEST around. There are sack races and pie eating contests and bounce houses. You see all of your neighbors and friends there. I love living in a small town!
Here is a card I made using a photo that my friend Leslie gave me. It is of her Father's Geraniums and it is a fabulous photo. I just had to use it for a card. I added a butterfly "Class-A-Peel" sticker. These stickers are awesome. I stuck it to vellum and colored the wings with Copics and cut it out. I added it with a glue dot. Voila'!
Well, I hope everyone has a fabulous day whether you are celebrating the Freedom of our great country or you live somewhere else. God Bless America and You! XO, Mimi

ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful!! Have a safe and blessed 4th!!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, Mimi! The minute I opened your site, I got goosebumps! My dad's geraniums! How awesome is THAT? So, is you want to send him a "special note," (hint, hint), let me know and I will give you his address.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was growing up, we had a huge circle driveway at our house. Every summer, my dad would go out and buy a bazillion geraniums, usually red, and he's spend all day planting them. What a sight! Now that dad's 75, he's not as limber as he used to be. However, he still takes the time to plant a few plants in his driveway.
Your card helped me revisit a wonderful time in my life, and I truly thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are such a special friend, and I can't wait to see you. TWO DAYS! Can you stand it!
Much love,
Leslie xoxoxoxoxoxox
