Where have I been?

I am so sorry for my lack of posts lately. I am so busy getting ready for a craft show this weekend. Here's a picture of my booth from last weekend. I have been workin' my fingers to the bone in anticipation of a good turn out. If you live locally, the show is here in North Port at the corner of US41 and Sumter, behind the Wendy's. Come on down and see me. Tell me you read it on my blog and get a free gift!
With so much work going on, Rick decided I need a night out so, we went to a local comedy club to help raise money for our local Softball Assoc. We had a fabulous time! We went with 2 other couples who happen to be very good friends of mine and as of lately, my "partners in crime" so to speak. I love these gals! All of our hubbys are affiliated with law enforcement in one way or another so they get along just fine too. That's always a big plus!
Here's a snap of the "Three Amigas".
Thanks for stoppin' by. Hope to see you at the Craft Show! XO, Mimi

Holy Guacamole!

I can't believe it has been 10 days since I have posted. Wow!

Today I am taking my Mother out shopping and to lunch, for her Birthday. Quality time with Mom is always good.

Here is a cute little card I made with a Kim Hughes set and some Basic Grey paper. Sweet and simple paper piecing. I love it. But, I think it needs ribbon. Doesn't every card need ribbon? LOL!

I hope you have a fabulous day.

The first one is from my Mom. I think she did a great job. Thanks Mom!

The Butterfly card is from my girlfriend Natalie. I love those colors and that is one of my fav. SU stamp sets. Thanks Nattie!

Next is a card from my good friend Annie. Love the bright colors she used. I think that is one of the FIRST stamp sets I ever owned. Thank you Annie!

And, last but certainly not least is a Fluffles card from my dear friend Milissa. It's so cute! Thank you Chica!

More proof of a fabulous birthday! Thank you, again, to all of my dear friends! I love you guys!

Wild & Crazy!

Loved this sketch as soon as I saw it. I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it. I love this paper from MAMBI that I got at Michaels. The embellishment was from the clearance isle.

I really like it and will have to use it again soon!

Have a great day. XO, Mimi

The BEST Birthday EVER!

This was the very best Birthday so far. I had so many friends to celebrate with and family from near and far. I heard from so many people who are so special to me. I think that the best presents are true friends and family. I also received a lot of great presents.

Here are a few of the awesome cards that I got. Some from close friends and some were RAKs from SCS. The first one is from my dear friend Kirsten. It is a package with pink peanut m&ms and if you click on the image, you will be able to see that the dog has been licking the icing. LOL! How sweet! The green and black card is from my friend and downline Lory. The blue and pink card is from my friend and upline Debbie. Isn't it cool how she used the scallop punch? The green and yellow card is from Holly at SCS. And, last, but not least, the monkey card is from the SCS Birthday Committee. I hope everyone enjoys Birthdays as much as I do. XO, Mimi

Green is the New Black!

So, I'm a bit of a tree hugger. What's wrong with that!? And, did you notice, I'm still crazy about the squares? They are so easy to work with.

I love this AC paper and the ribbon was just generic. I like the simple look of it.

Well, have a Happy Monday! XO, Mimi

For Teacher

Isn't that dino cute? He is a Martha Stewart sticker that I picked up in my travels.

The paper is from the DCWV Grade School stack. I am crazy about this stack. I even decorated the envie with it.

That's all for today. Thanks for lookin'! XO, Mimi

BasicGrey at Michaels!! Woo hoo!

So, I'm shoppin' one day, at my favorite craft store and I see this great pad of paper. So, yeah, I buy it. I didn't even realize it was BasicGrey. Duh! No wonder it's so pretty.

Here's another eco button for ya. Yes, green is Sexy. Don't ya think?

All the paper is BasicGrey and the flower is Prima and the velvet ribbon is just something I had in a jar. Love it? Me too!

See ya later. XO, Mimi

It's a Gift. No, it's a Card. No, it's both!

I found these great little "ECO Pins" in the dollar spot at Target and just had to have them. I knew they would be great for on cards. Then I had a little creative slump and couldn't figure out how I wanted to do it.

Well, after blurfing some of my favorite blogs, I saw these at Kristina's blog. I was inspired all over again. I made a few and I will past them a little each day.

This pin is paired up with some AC paper and black velvet ribbon. The fancy square is a Cuttlebug die. I think I got the "believe" stamp form Michaels.

Well, thanks for stoppin' by! Have a great day! XO, Mimi

Reach for the Stars!

This is another card I made using some clearance dimensional stickers from Michaels. I think I bought them all. This little guy is so cute with the Cogsmo paper and a rub-on.

Well, that's all I got for ya, today!

Have a great day! XO, Mimi

Party Like a Rockstar!

Love this guitar from Inkadinkado! I embossed it with detail gold ep and it just shines. Yup, another square card. What does this mean? Am I feeling boxed in, is there some hidden meaning? Maybe I just like the square look. Whatever!

Have a happy humpday! XO, Mimi

Gotta Love the Dollar Stamps!

I love the dollar bins at Michaels. Who am I kiddin'? I love the dollar bins everywhere!! LOL! But at Michaels, for me, they are the .75 bins with my discount. So, even better.

I paired up this dollar bin spider webb image with some of last year's SU! Halloween paper, some Thicker wannabees from Dollar Tree and some more of the Martha Stewart ribbon. I think it actually glows in the dark. Hmmm.

I love how simple it is!

Thanks for peekin' at my stuff! Have a wonderful day! XO, Mimi

So Sad but So True!

Love this sassy saying. It's another one from Michaels. I paired it up with some Au Chocolate from SU! and some of this delicious ribbon that they retired. Boo hoo. Oh yeah, the scallop square is a nestabilities

Thanks for stopping by. Hope you have a great Monday! XO, Mimi

Inkadinkado, I See You!

I picked up this fabulous Halloween set at Michaels during Friends and Family discount days. I love the witch and the cool trail she leaves. I paired her with some paper from last year's Halloween Stack and some Martha ribbon.
I have been crankin' out the square cards lately. I guess I needed a change.

Oh well, thanks for stopping by. Have a great weekend! XO, Mimi

Oh yeah, P.S., I just found out my brother's wife is pregnant. This will be their first. They just married a year ago, July. Yeah! Way to go Bryon and Vanessa!

Sorry for that brief pause!

Sorry for my absence. I have been busy with work and classes and personal life stuff. Ya know!? I did get some stamping done last night that I want to show you.

The first is for Maggie's teacher. I am using the Kim Hughes stamps combined with Junkitz paper for a perfect thank you to her. The sketch I stole from my dear friend Kirsten, here.

The second one is more of the sketch from a week or so ago. I used my new Cat's Pajamas stamps with some old SU paper. Love it!

Well, I'm keepin' it short! Have a great day. XO, Mimi

My current FAVORITE Sketch!

I LOVE this sketch!

I found this card while blurfing around and knew I had to try it. So, here are my 2 takes on it. The first one uses one of my favorite lines of Scenic Route paperalong with some ribbon from Stampin' Up! and a rhinestone star from the clearance bin at Michaels.

The second one uses the new Halloween paper from Stampin' Up! and a cute Frankinstein and bats from Michaels. The get ghoulish stamp is a Martha Stewart stamp from last year.

Have an awesome day! XO, Mimi

Christmas Money Holder

I got the pattern for this great money holder at Convention. It is super easy to make. I used the Wish Scrappin' kit for the paper and die cut elements. This will come in real handy around the Holidays!

Have a great day! XO, Mimi

More Clearance Cards!

Love these little owls. They are more of the Michaels clearance dimensional stickers. Aren't they a HOOT!? I paired them up with some Kim Hughes stamps.

Have a great day! XOX, Mimi

A Clearance Card

Boy, working at Michaels sure has it's perks! As soon as I go in each morning, I go straight to the clearance racks. It's like little clearance elves have been working all night to make me some new items. LOL!
My latest find are all of Michaels cute little dimensional stickers. They are made by Sandylion and are every bit as cute as those expensive Jolees. So, I bought a bag full of them and started cranking out these cute little goodies.
Of course, this one is for Father's Day but there were many more and I will show you some each day.
I made the toolbox from Cocoa paper that I stamped with a Kim Hughes tree stamp to give it the wood grain. I also got to use those tiny little eyelets that I have had for a century or more. I am tickled with how it came out.
Have a great day! XO, Mimi

You Rock!

More Just Jawing and I paired it up with the new DSP Ghostly Greetings and lots of yummy glitter! I love the inside with the Pop Rocks. Remember those things? They're great!

Have an awesome day! XO, Mimi

More Yummy Cupcakes!

Crazy for Cupcakes! I can't get enough of this set. LOL! I love the paper pieced balloons. I think they turned out fabulous, darling!

Happy Monday! I'm off to work. XO, Mimi

Cupcakes Make Everything Better!

And these cupcakes from SU! are the best! I started drooling over this set the moment I saw it at Convention and knew I had to have it. I colored it with Copics and paired it with more of the Georgia Peach. The colors in the picture are a little off.

Well, enjoy your day! XO, Mimi

A Fun Sketch Challenge to Try!

I love this Just Jawing set from SU! Way too cute! The sketch I used is from SCS weekly card sketch challenge. I love to do the sketches, when I have time.
I am using the new DSP Georgia Peach. I love the Regal Rose and Pink Pirouette paired up with So Saffron. The hearts are chipboard that I colored with ink and added glitter. I also added glitter to the bones and eyes.
Have a great weekend and thanks for checking in! XO, Mimi

What a FUN night!

Well, Friday night was the first Ladies Night Out at The Paper Rose Studio. It was a packed house and everyone seemed to have a wonderful time. I think everyone even got some work done on their stamping or scrapbooking or whatever they were working on. I can hardly wait for the next one!
I am trying to plan them for every 3rd Friday night. That makes it easy for everyone to keep it on their calender.
This Thursday is my first Mom's Play Day from 10 till 4. While the kiddies are back in school, Mom can come and get some more scrapping done.
If you are local, and want to join us, drop me an email so I can save a seat for you. I have enough room for 8 people to be comfortable and spread out.
Oh yeah, and my BIG Stampin' Up! order will be here on Wednesday! Yippee! I am so excited, I can hardly contain myself. You can be sure that I will be stalking Mr. Brown after I get off work! LOL!
Well, that's all that's new. I have to go get ready for work. Have a Fabulous "Back to School" Monday! XO, Mimi

P.S. This is a card I made a while ago and forgot to post. I used My Favorite Things stamps, Basic Grey paper and Copic markers.

Thursday, August 14, 2008

I did it. I took the plunge!

After going to Convention, I decided to try having a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator web site again. I had one a while ago and shut it down to have my blog. But, now that Stampin' Up offers on line ordering, I thought I should give it another try. Go check it out by using to link to the left, above my picture.
I will be tweaking it a little at a time so be sure to check back often.

XO, Mimi

I've been a bad blogger!

I am so sorry I have been so bad since coming home from Utah. I think I am finally back in the swing of things. I have had a couple classes since being home and they seem to have gone well. Here are the items we made in class. The class fee also included lunch and the new Idea book and Catalog.
I am off work tomorrow and Friday and hope to show off something new to you. Meanwhile, have a nice night. XO, Mimi

Happy to be HOME!

I am home from Convention. Actually, I got home Sunday evening but it has taken me this long to get caught up enough to post something.

Stampin' Up! outdid itself yet again. Everything was amazing. The classes were very informative and the demonstrations ROCKED!!!

And look who I got to meet! Yes, that's one of my favorite bloggers, Kristina Werner.
I just had to ask her to pose for a photo.

I am sorry I don't have more for you right now but I promise to get back in the swing of things very soon!

Have a fabulous day! XO, Mimi
