I've been a busy bee!

Sorry I haven't posted anything lately but I have been sew busy making baby presents for my Sister and Sister-in-Law.

These are shopping cart cavers for my soon to be nieces and nephew. I wanted to make them something special since they are special.

The first one is for my Brother and Sister-in-Law for baby, code name, COBRA. It's kind of a joke because they don't want to pick out a name for their baby since they haven't met her yet. Cool with me.

The other two are for my Sister and Brother-in-Law for Cameron and Noelle, twins.

I just know that all 3 of these children are going to be like the PC commercials. Their parents are super smart and super cool. I cannot think of four better parents to be.

Anyway, I am very happy with how these turned out and even more happy that I am done and can put the sewing machine away and stamp again. Have a great day! XO, Mimi

Happy Spring!

Boy, that's really hard to see. Sorry about that. This paper is a DCWV baby boy pad and there's the cuttlebug dies again. I am not normally a lavender person but I like this card. It's prettier IRL.

My friend Maria is supposed to come and play today so I gotta go get dressed. I am sure we will do something fun that I will show you tomorrow. XO, Mimi

Who's turnin' Nine?

Seriously, I need someone who's turning nine to send this to. LOL! If not, I'll have to save it for Maggie when she turns nine in July of 2010. I was just playing with this AC paper from Michaels and some new cuttlebug dies that I got on clearance. The ribbon is AC too.

Well, gotta clean the garage today. Argh! Talk to ya soon. XO, Mimi

Hi!

Sorry for the delay in posting. We had a fabulous trip in our new camper. It was so wonderful to see family and it was great being able to go to our own home on wheels each night. There is no better way to go! I foresee many wonderful family get aways to come.

As for this little cutie card, it was made with a little piece of paper that was in a magazine as an advertisement/sample. Aint it cute?! I used some Thicker wannabees that I have had for a while from the dollar store and some SU! ribbon. Love it!

Thanks for stoppin' by! XO, Mimi

Where have I been?

Really, I've been right here but I am sorry I haven't posted much. I do have some exciting news though. We are getting ready to go for our first vacation with our new (to us) camper. We acquired this fabulous camper shortly after the start of the new year and have been patiently waiting to go away. Well, we leave tomorrow morning for North Florida. My Step Mother and Step Father are in their Florida home near The Villages in Lady Lake and we are going to visit them. I will let you know, when we get back, how it went. Keep your fingers crossed for us! XO, Mimi

Water You Up To?

Isn't that the cutest shark ever!? I just LOVE him so much. I finally inked him up. I made this cutie for the SCS Featured Stamper Challenge #104.

I put the charm on the card because her card had one on it but I think it's a little much for my card.

Thanks for stoppin' by. I am going to go enjoy my day off! Have a great day! XO, Mimi

Perk Up!

Happy Monday morning to you. This is the first thing I thought of when I saw this set. I used a color challenge from SCS for my colors. I admit, they are a bit bright. But it is a card to "Perk" you up!

Well, I am off to work. Have a great day! XO, Mimi

Stamps and Friends = Good Times

Last night my friend Natalie came over for dinner and stamping. I had an empty house so we had all the time in the world. At least till 2AM. I even power napped in the afternoon so I would be awake to play all night. Hah!

I was in a Kiwi, Grey and Baja mood so I made these cute little goodies. I was really happy with how they turned out.

The first is with the new Trendy Trees set from SU! I used an old sketch from Poetic Artistry from back in Feb of 07.

The second is with the new Sip by Sip set from SU! I also used my Spellbinder frames for the image.

Well, I'm off to play with the family. Hope you have a nice day. Thanks for stopping by! XO, Mimi

I Love this birdy!

I was so excited to play with this set and the paper that goes with it. Too cute and fun! The set is called Cheep Talk and the DSP is called Good Morning Sunshine. I think they are going to get lots of use with me. Oh yeah, and the flower is from the Birds and Blooms sizzlet.

Thanks for stoppin' by. More to come soon! XO, Mimi

Make two cards and call me in the morning.

The best cure for the blues is creating. As far as I'm concerned. So, after a good helping of cheese with my whine, about not getting my stamps yesterday, I decided to create anyway.

I played with some of the Chloe's Closet paper from Making Memories along with the matching Journaling pages. It was fun and no stamps were involved at all.

The first one is for my sister as just a" hello there" card. The "U" was originally glittered with blue but it didn't match the bird so I used heat and stick and some green fine glitter to change it. It worked great.

The second one uses some fabulous ribbon that my dear friend Kirsten had given me quite some time ago. It's so shimmery and yummy. The birdy is from a kit that I got from Serendipity kits. I didn't add a sentiment yet. I figure I will add it when I know what I'm using it for.

Well, that's all for now because Mr. Brown DID come today and I have some serious stampin' to do! Thanks for stopping by. XO, Mimi

Hey Dude, where's my stamps?

Yeah, that's right, no stamps for me today. UPS said that my package was on time and in route for delivery today. They LIED!!! It always seems that something happens with the delivery of my package when it contains new catalog paraphernalia. Why is that?

Oh well, since I was bummin' big time, I painted. That's right, painted. Can you say boring??? I painted my daughter's room and her bathroom. I have needed to do it for a while now. At least I can concentrate completely on the new stuff when it arrives.

I hope I have some fun new stuff for you to oogle after this weekend. Thanks for stopping by to hear me whine. XO, Mimi

I LOVE Valentines!

I just wanted to post a quickie with some pictures of The Studio before my Valentines Card Class on Tuesday. The ladies loved the cards and the decorations. I love it because, as you can see, my favorite color is pink!!!

The tables had candies scattered on them along with the packets filled with their project supplies.

We had a very nice day and I can't wait for our next get-together.

Well, that's all for now. My new catalog goodies are coming in tomorrow! WOW! XO, Mimi

Chocolate and Cherries

That's what this card reminds me of. It looks so rich and delicious. I used some of Stampin' Up!s chipboard frames and rub-ons with this one. I haven't added a sentiment yet but it will be on the chocolate layer when I do.

Hope you have a great day. Thanks for checkin' in! XO, Mimi

Bite Size Yummies!

These are a few more of the
things my friends will be
making in the Valentine Card workshop I have planned for them on the 27th.

This is a cute little box that is made from the Sizzix Scallop Envelope die.

We will also be making six 3x3 cards with envelopes for in it.

We will make 2 each of the three shown here.

More Valentine Workshop Yummies!

This yummy card is all paper pieced with some Valentines papers I have had hanging around waiting for the perfect project. I love using this stamp from Ellen Hutson with all kinds of papers. The picture is a little dark but there are 3 rhinestones at the bottom of the card for some bling.

Hope you enjoy your day. Thanks for stopping by. XO, Mimi

Lollipop, Lollipop, O lolli lolli pop!

I only have a couple of lollipop covers to show you today but aren't they cute? I would like to take the credit for the idea but I got it over at Splitcoast by searching for ideas for these pocket notes. I have some ladies wanting to make Valentines cards and I thought they would like these cuties added to their workshop. Yummy!

Well, that's all for today. Thanks for stoppin' by! XO, Mimi

I'm Baaaack!

I am back from the Orlando Stampin' Up! Regional. I had a fabulous time with my buddies! I learned some new stuff and made some cute make and takes and some great shoebox swaps with the ladies in my group. As always though, I am happy to be home.

This is a card that I started while in Orlando. I stamped the image and started coloring but I had forgotten to bring along my flesh color so I had to finish it when I got home. These stamps are by "My Cute Stamps" and they are just that! I hope you can see how I popped up the buns in her hair and her crown and wand. I love the googly eyes on the frog too.

Well, thanks for stoppin' by! XO, Mimi

Happy Baby News!!!

No, silly. Not about me. My sister, in Texas. I just got word from her today that her twins that she is having are a boy and girl. And doing perfectly! How wonderful. I have been dying to know the sexes so I can shop.

So, in honor of the great baby news, here is a baby card using a new set of mine from My Cute Stamps. I am not totally thrilled with the end result but it's done. The paper is Basic Grey Sugared.

Thanks for checkin' in. I am off for a weekend away with the girls. I am going to the Stampin' Up Regional in Orlando. Woo Hoo! I'll catch up when I get back! XO, Mimi

More Coffee Please!

I absolutely LOVE this set by GinaK Stamps. It is called "my cuppa joe" and it certainly is. I totally copied this card by LZappa. I love her work and visit her blog everyday. This is the card that made me have to have this set. I hope my interpretation did her justice.

I used Basic Grey Urban Prairie paper that I am also in love with, right now.

Thanks for stoppin' by. Have a great day! XO, Mimi

New Velvet Ribbon at Michaels! Yum Yum!

I found this sweet velvet ribbon the other day while at word and I just had to have some! LOL! It looks so yummy with this Bittersweet paper by Basic Grey and The Birds and the Bees from Kim Hughes. It's hard to tell from this picture but the hearts are all popped up as well as the birdies.

Oh well, see you soon! XO, Mimi

Hello Honey!

I am sooooo excited about the new Kim Hughes set being revealed today. I am such a Kim Hughes fan. I love her cute and simple images.

For this card, I paired the Birds and the Bees set with the GinaK Little Tees set. I went a little crazy shopping on line last week and got a bunch of yummy goodies!

Hope you have a Terrific Tuesday. Thanks for stopping by. XO, Mimi

Happy New Year!

I know, I know, where the heck have I been? Sorry, Just Holiday stuff and personal stuff but, I'm back and I hope to be posting more often and showing off some stamped stuff.

This little cutie is a card I made for my Sister-in-law. I used my new GinaK t-shirt shamps that I have lusted over for quite some time now. I love the paper I used. it is Basic Grey Bittersweet. I am going through a Basic Grey craze right now so I am sure you will see more of it soon! LOL!

My SIL is due in April and having a girl. I am so happy for her and my brother. They are young and fun and both well educated so, I am sure this will be a smart little cutie. I went shopping with my daughter, over the weekend, and ran into a huge sale at Old Navy where we went crazy buying pink clothes for the new baby. It was so much fun. I am going to pack it all up and ship it out to them. Hope they are happy with all that I got.

Well, thanks for stopping by. XO, Mimi

Where have I been?

I am so sorry for my lack of posts lately. I am so busy getting ready for a craft show this weekend. Here's a picture of my booth from last weekend. I have been workin' my fingers to the bone in anticipation of a good turn out. If you live locally, the show is here in North Port at the corner of US41 and Sumter, behind the Wendy's. Come on down and see me. Tell me you read it on my blog and get a free gift!
With so much work going on, Rick decided I need a night out so, we went to a local comedy club to help raise money for our local Softball Assoc. We had a fabulous time! We went with 2 other couples who happen to be very good friends of mine and as of lately, my "partners in crime" so to speak. I love these gals! All of our hubbys are affiliated with law enforcement in one way or another so they get along just fine too. That's always a big plus!
Here's a snap of the "Three Amigas".
Thanks for stoppin' by. Hope to see you at the Craft Show! XO, Mimi

Holy Guacamole!

I can't believe it has been 10 days since I have posted. Wow!

Today I am taking my Mother out shopping and to lunch, for her Birthday. Quality time with Mom is always good.

Here is a cute little card I made with a Kim Hughes set and some Basic Grey paper. Sweet and simple paper piecing. I love it. But, I think it needs ribbon. Doesn't every card need ribbon? LOL!

I hope you have a fabulous day.
