Hurry! While Supplies Last!

Stampin Up! has just released the list of supplies that will be retiring. It's 12 pages long! Really, 12 pages! I am astonished! I have been told that some of the items, such as ink pads and stamp scrubber, are being revamped. So, they are not really doing away with them but the current design is retiring.

Unlike the stamp sets that are retiring, the supply items are "as supplies last". So, once they are gone, they are gone.

You can contact me or place an order right from my website for any of the items that you need.

Way to go Pat B! This is such a fun card. Who wouldn't LOVE to receive this!? Love the swirly, the bright colors and the "floating" letters! You rocked it girl!! Thanks for sharing your creativity with us!! XO

BTW, I was asked if I intend to do a class on the cascading card. If I have enough "locals", I would be happy to do a class. XO

Let's "KIT" together!

I have had a few people ask what my card kits, for my buffet, contain . So, I thought I would show you.

This is what is in the kit for #2 of my Guy Cards Buffet. There is the envelope, white card base, all layers, pre-embossed, pre-stamped and pre-punched. The sentiment is stamped on both sides. One side reads, "Hope your day is PAR-FECT!" and the other side is "Happy Birthday". I do not color in any images that need to be colored and I do not sponge any edges.

For most of my cards, you will need scissors, bone folder, dimensionals, adhesive and glue dots to complete.

Feel free to contact me with any other questions you may have. XO, Mimi

Cascading cards are soooo much fun!!!

Last night, a few of my friends and I played around with the "Cascading Card" technique. I know that Susan Peters, from The Crafting Cow, had done a class on it at the last H2U. However, I was too busy to get her instruction.
I have seen them all over Pinterest lately and there are some great ones on Splitcoast Stampers too. I wish Splitcoast would do a tutorial on them. Splitcoast has always, hands down, posted the best tutorials. If you have ever tried to write a tutorial or teach someone how to do any fancy fold technique, you know that it is NO easy task!
Anyway, after I watched some You Tube videos and figured it out, I decided to invite a few close friends over to try it too.
It was so much fun. Here are the cards we came up with. They are not all the way finished, because it started getting late, but you can tell they had fun and when they are done, they will be spectacular!
These are a couple that I made using old Stampin' Up! Simply Scrappin kits that I have had hanging around FOREVER!! I love using Stampin' Up!'s Window sheets (#114323 page 216 $4.95) for the clear pieces that the letters are on. The plastic is nice and sturdy and just seems to disappear. Perfect!

Here is one that my friend Lisa made for her Father's Birthday. She also used a Simply Scrappin' Kit and some Window Sheet pieces for the "floating" pieces. I think this turned out awesome!!!

The other three are not embellished yet but I'm sure, when they are done, someone is going to be very happy to get one in the mail!

Easter/Spring Card Bar

Spring has officially sprung. With Easter right around the corner, it’s time to make some Easter/Spring cards. I am going to have a “Card Bar” on Wednesday, 3/21 from 6 to 9 and Saturday 3/24 from 10 to 1. You will be able to choose which cards you want to make and how many. The cards are $2.00 and $3.00 each. A deposit of $10.00 will hold your spot. RSVP no later than Monday, 3/19.

Here are a couple samples of the $3.00 cards:

Here are a few of the $2.00 cards:

Quantities are limited so, if you want to make multiples of any particular card, I would suggest you email me to hold the kits.

For this class you will need to bring a class tool kit containing the following: scissors, adhesive, glue dots, pop dots, bone folder, tape and score tape or tacky tape. This helps me to be able to provide quality card kits with plenty of products without raising the class price.

A Great Class Kit

Happy Tuesday, friends.

I just wanted to show you the contents of a class tool kit that someone forgot at my studio. This little plastic pencil case was loaded with the perfect components to use at classes. In fact, I am thinking of making some up and selling them. I know that I’m going to make one up for myself for the next time I head off to a class.DSCF6246
Of course, I loved the fact that almost everything in it is Stampin’ Up!

Snail Adhesive, Tombo Multi glue, Dimensionals, 2 way glue (great for glitter), Mini glue dots, double sided tape, bone folder, anywhere glue stick, and paper snips. The only thing I would add is an adhesive eraser.

What’s in your class kit?

Thanks for stopping by. XO, Mimi

This offer is only good during February 2012, so go check it out right away! Your 30 days begins when you download the trial. Email me if you have questions not answered on the MDS site or below--and ENJOY this awesome gift from Stampin' Up!

I LOVE MY DIGITAL STUDIO and the way it allows me to keep up with scrapbooking the important events of my busy life. You have nothing to lose, so download the trial version today and see if digi-scrapping is right for you!

Here's a few quick FAQ's for you--

Q: Is the trial version of the software different from the paid version of My Digital Studio Express?
A: No. When you order the My Digital Studio Express Trial, you will receive the full version of My Digital Studio Express. The software will function exactly the same as if you had purchased the software--you can design, purchase downloads, and print. The only difference is that you can only use the trial version for 30 days.
Q: Can I place a print order with the trial version?
A: Yes. You have full access to everything you can do in My Digital Studio for a full 30 days. This includes full designing functionality, printing, and the ability to purchase downloads.
Q: Do my 30 days start as soon as I download My Digital Studio?
A: Your 30 day trial period starts as soon as you launch the program. It does not matter when you download the program, your 30 days will start as soon as you actually launch (open) the program.
Q: Will the trial still last 30 days even if I order it in the middle or end of the month?
A: You can order the My Digital Studio Trial at any time. The trial period is not tied to the calendar. The trial period will begin as soon as you launch the program, and you will be able to use it for the next 30 days.
Q: What happens after the 30 day trial period is over?
A: When you launch the software after the 30 day trial period is over, you will be prompted to enter a product key. You will not be able to use the software again until you have entered a product key. You can get a product key by purchasing My Digital Studio or My Digital Studio Express.
Q: How do I purchase My Digital Studio after the trial period is over?
A: Simply add My Digital Studio (item 118108) or My Digital Studio Express (item 124483) to your next order. If you order My Digital Studio Express, you will not need to reinstall the software. A product key will be e-mailed to you; after you complete your purchase, just enter that product key when the program prompts you to. If you purchase the disc version of My Digital Studio, you will need to use the installation discs in order to access the included digital content. The installation wizard will walk you through the process, including entering the product key (which you’ll receive with your shipped discs). You will not lose any downloads or projects from your 30-day trial period.
Q: What happens to digital downloads I purchase during the 30 day trial period?
A: You will have continued access to any downloads you purchase during the trial period. If you choose to purchase the software, you will simply need to enter a product key, and you will be able to use all your downloads like normal. If you do not purchase the software, you will still have access to your downloads through your download manager, and you will be able to load them to the digital design software of your choice.
Q: Can I use My Digital Studio digital downloads in other design programs?
A: Yes. The My Digital Studio digital downloads will work with any digital design program.
Q: Will my saved projects be lost when the free trial ends?
A: You will not be able to edit any of your projects through My Digital Studio after the trial period has ended unless you purchase the software. If you do chose to purchase the software, you will be able to access all your projects. If you don’t choose to purchase the software, we recommend you save your projects as jpg files. You will then be able to use them like you use any of your jpg (picture) files.
Q: Can I have two free trials?
A: No. The My Digital Studio Express Trial will only work once. After your 30 days are over, you need to purchase the software to continue using the program.
Q: What if I don’t want to purchase the software at the end of the trial period?
A: You can uninstall the software at any time.
Q: How do I use My Digital Studio?
A: We have several videos and resources available for you on the training section of MyDigitalStudio.net that will help you learn how to use the program.

So Many Ribbons, So Little Time!!

I must confess, I am a bit of a ribbon fanatic. On cards and scrapbook pages, to me the finished item comes to life no matter how small that piece of ribbon or embellishment is.

Busy cleaning The Studio for the New Year

That’s right. I have gotten real busy cleaning up The Studio so I can get busy with some FUN! I love Christmas and the holidays but, I sure am happy when it’s time to put everything back in the attic. It is so refreshing and it’s not even close to Spring yet.

I decided that I should snap a few pictures while it looks like this because it doesn’t always stay this way for long. LOL!

I’m not a very good photographer so, I apologize for the lighting. They just seem a little off, to me.
Anyway, back behind the white shutters are my sewing machines with many unfinished projects piled around them. On the table with the display, I have the beginning of the cutting process for the first 2012 Card Class. Over in the corner are some cards for sale as well as some paper, chipboard, ribbons and other goodies. In the cabinets are mini albums that I have made over the years, books on crafts that I want to do someday, and lots of fun goodies to use on my scrapbook pages and cards as well of just a bunch of shabby chic eye candy.
This is just one side of the room. The other side has two large round tables too, for classes. It also has a very messy desk and computer area, my grandma daycare and a TV for Farrah’s Bubble Guppie viewing pleasure.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you all have a great weekend. I am going to have lunch with my Mom, my 10yo daughter, her American Girl dolls and Farrah at a Tea Room tomorrow. Then I will watch the same girly girl daughter play some dirty, kick butt softball on Sunday. That’s an awesome weekend! XO

WOW! It’s 2012!

Holy cow! Where does the time go? I can hardly believe that it’s January 2012.

Well, even though you haven’t heard much from me, I have been very busy trying to come up with classes and trying to get some of my half done projects, completely done. Hah! That’s no easy task.

So, I’ve been thinking that I need to do some card classes in honor of the date. What do I mean? Well, how about some 2012 Card Classes!? That’s $20.00 for 12 different cards. What do you think?

I am going to start with a Valentines card class. However, if you don’t need a bunch of Valentine’s Day cards, they can simply be stamped with a different sentiment and used for most occasions. Here is just a small sample of the 12 cards that we will be making. The class is on Saturday, Jan. 28th from 10 till 2*. If you would like to come, you will need to RSVP by Monday, Jan. 23.

The next 2012 Card Class will be Sweet Stitches and uses lots of goodies like rub-ons, ribbon, fabric brads, buttons, and many more! They are awesome! This is just a small sample of the 12 cards we will make. The class is on Saturday, Feb. 25th from 10 till 2*. If you would like to attend, please RSVP by Monday, Feb. 20.

*Please keep in mind that we are making 12 different cards. If you tend to like to take your time or are chatty, it may take you longer.

Also, feel free to bring a snack or beverage as we will be working hard for 4 hours.
