I'm Back!
Stampfest was a lot of fun and I'm back from a great weekend with one of my very best friends. I got a bunch of goodies and I got to see a few on-line friends and do a little catching up. Here are a few shots of the Rubbernecker ladies. I'm the one in the back, trying desperately to get in the photo with Sherry, Jeanne, Kitti, Kirsten, Dina and Broni. LOL! I got to meet "Mama Dini", who designed my watermark. She is extremely nice, as is her husband. Kitti was "Causing a Scene" with her new line of stamps and she made me a signed original. These gals are a lot of fun. There are also some shots of the loot I collected. Lots of loose stamps with funny saying, some stamps that I got for friends and some awesome smelling stamp cleaner from Kim at My Favorite Things. She and her family were there and is was really a pleasure to meet all of them. They are all very nice and very generous. I had such a wonderful time. I can hardley wait for next year. LOL!

Off to a bad start! Argh!
Today, Kirsten and I are driving to Orlando to go to Stampfest. WooHoo. I will also be seeing my friend, Leslie. I get to spend the night at Captain Pug's Rescue! Doesn't that sound like fun!?
Well, this morning, I go out to the car and find that my tire is flat. Poop! So, this gives me time to post this cutie of a card that I made last night.
I used the QT Hooty set again and some more American Crafts paper. I also gave a try at inking up my Cuttlebug embossing folder. Love that! So, here you go.
I will be back on Monday to show you the booty I collect at Stampfest and some pugarific pictures! Have a great weekend! XO, Mimi

A QT Hooty Sketch
I just LOVE this card by Lauren M. and had to one. The stamps are from The Pink Cat Studio and called QT Hootie Owl. The paper is American Crafts. I think it turned out so cute.
Have a great weekend! XO, Mimi

Captain Pug to the Rescue!
Would you look at that face!? This picture makes me laugh out loud! My friend, Leslie is involved in the rescue of pugs and has just started a blog to chronicle her adventures in fostering these lucky little pugs until they find their forever home. This is one of the fosters. What a smile. Leslie is quite a good story teller so, go check out her new blog and spread the word for pug rescue!
Pugs and Kisses! XO, Mimi

What a GREAT day!
I spent this afternoon with my favorite little man, Wyatt. We went to the park and McDonalds then learned all about frogs before he went down for his nap. We had such a good time.
Wyatt has a birthday coming up soon and this is the card I made for him. I hope he doesn't get onto his Mommy's computer and see it!
I used some more of the Starving Artist stamps and Cosmic Cricket papers. I popped some of the buildings up to give it dimension. I still don't know how to take a good picture to show that. Argh! Then I put Wyatt's little face in the rocket ship. I love it!! And him!!
After leaving Wyatt's, I looked in my purse and look what I found. Isn't it gorgeous!? It's a card from his Mommy, Kirsten. And look, he signed the back. Too cute.
I hope you have a Fabulous Wednesday! I sure did! XO, Mimi

Aloha!
Thanx, Friend!
This is a quicky that I made for a really great friend of mine. She does so much for so many and I wanted to thank her. I was inspired by this card. I used the Mark the Date SU stamp set for the bottom half with circles. I love it's clean look and simplicity.
Yesterday, I got together with my Stampin' Up! family. We have such a fabulous time when we are together. Such an eclectic mix of ladies and we just seem to blend so nicely. I really look forward to our monthly get-togethers. July is my month to hostess them in "The Studio". I am so excited. They were all talking about convention and making their swaps. Too bad I'm not going. How can I possibly go after my DH just built me this fabulous Studio. ;)
Oh well, have a wonderful Monday everyone! XO, Mimi

Wake up and smell the French Roast!
I love these new Penny Black stamps I got the other day. The coffee cup is from Hero Arts. I thought they went perfect together. That's me in the morning. Draggin' my spoiled butt outta bed to have some coffee that my DH makes for me. Wanna hear the best part? He doesn't even drink coffee. I'm tellin' ya, they broke the mold when they made him. He's my HERO!

Just a few Studio shots and some cards I completed
I thought it would be nice to take a couple shots of the things that are special to me in the Studio. The first is a bulletin board that I made from a discarded mirror frame that I rescued from a friends garbage. I love looking at the photos and all of the quirky little things that have come to rest on it. It's my own little time capsule.
The next shot is one of my versions of the Clip-It-Up. I made mine with a lamp that I found on the side of the road after hurricane Charlie. It had been on my bedside table until I decided it's final days will be lived out holding pretty things in my studio. I love how tall it is.
Last, here are a couple cards that I have put together over the past few days.
I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend! XO, Mimi

So Happy for Monday!!!
Hope everyone had a great weekend. Mine was quite stressful. Maggie was bored and let me know every 5 minutes or so, Argh! This morning, she is off to the YMCA summer camp. She and I were so excited. I hope she has a great time. Maggie loves making new friends and is not really shy so, I am sure she will love it!
Here is a cute little card that I made for a friend who is moving. I used a sketch from Michelle Wooderson and the overlay is from Kirsty Wiseman.
Have a wonderful day! XO, Mimi

Bad, Bad Blogger!
I so sorry. I can't believe it has been over a week since I last posted.
As with everyone else, summer vacation has begun. So, keeping the kiddos busy is job uno! Here is a shot of Maggie making her latest Princess Crown. Every princess should have, at least, a dozen or so. The girl loves her accessories! LOL!
In other news, we have been puppy-sitting Nora again. My dear friend Leslie had to fly to the north for a couple weeks so, we volunteered to play with Nora, in her absence. Here she is in my comfy chair at the studio. This chair and Maggie's giant bean bag chair are her favorite places.
Last but not least, here are a couple goodies I have made recently but was too busy to post. Just fun stuff for no particular reason.
Have a great Hump Day! XO, Mimi
