Some Fun Cards for February 13 & 14

 Since last week's cards were Sympathy and Get Well, I wanted to lighten the mood with some funny cards.
The First card says, "A little birdie told me it was your birthday." Inside the card, you see the cat, above. I love that one. The orange card says, "did someone turn the heat up in here...", inside says, "or is it just the candles on your cake? happy birthday! The granny in the car card reads, "Happy Birthday, you know you're old when...(inside) getting lucky means you found your car in the parking lot. The last card reads, "I don't have a problem with CAFFEINE, I have a problem without it. Inside is blank.

Class will be held on Thursday evening at 6PM and Friday Morning at 10AM.

January's Sewing Project

This month we will be making a "Tooth" pillow. This is a great gift for children to put their tooth in for the Tooth Fairy to come and take, then leave a little goodie.
The tooth is made of felted wool and is approx. 12"x12". There are several different characters to choose from, depending on if the gift is for a boy or girl.
ALL supplies are included in the price of $20.00.
I have plenty of machines and tools for everyone.
You are welcome to bring a bag lunch, if you like.
I will have lite refreshments.

With each new year, we tend to feel a sense of "new beginning" or a chance to "start anew". At least I do.

With this new year, I would like to introduce some new classes at The Studio. I have listened to my friends and customers ask for something different and I want to start a new beginning of classes that will excite you and, hopefully, keep you coming back for more.

Please, feel free to let me know if you have any new ideas or if you have questions or comments about what I am trying. It is all about YOU anyway, right?!

Here's the line-up!
Hostess Club
I will continue to have e Hostess Club Meeting, on the first Wednesday of each month, at 10AM and 6PM.
If you are not in the Hostess club but would like more information on what it's all about or if you would like to come and be a guest, let me know! We are always welcome to new members and guests!

Card ClassesI will continue to have weekly card classes Thursday evenings at 6PM and Friday mornings at 10AM.
The third week of each month, the cards will be seasonal. For instance, with Valentines Day being next month, we will be making cards with a LOVE theme. On other months, when there is no need for seasonal cards, we will be making Christmas Cards! Talk about being prepared for the Holidays ahead of time. LOL! I love this idea and I hope you do too.
Other weekly card classes will be Birthday, Get Well, Sympathy, Thank You, etc.
The cost of Weekly Card Classes is $10.00 for 4 cards and envelopes, unless otherwise stated.
You must RSVP by Wednesday noon, if you would like to come to the card class or have a kit.

Sewing ProjectsI am trying something new on the third Saturday of the month, I will have a sewing project class. These will be projects that we can finish in one class or finished to the point that details can be added at home. The projects will vary in theme but will all be fairly easy to intermediate. So, even if you don't sew, you can do it. I will have enough sewing machines here so you do not need to bring a machine. All supplies will be included, unless otherwise stated.
The cost of the Sewing Projects Class will vary but will not exceed $25.00.

Crop TimeOn the fourth Friday of each month, from 5:PM till 11:00PM, I will have "Crop Time" at The Studio. This is an open crop with limited space. You are welcome to work on whatever you like. You are able to use my stamps, punches, dies, Big Shot, etc. I will always try to have extra consumables on hand for you to purchase like paper, glue, adhesives, ribbon, embellishments, etc.
I will also have on hand refreshments and snacks, at no extra cost.
The cost of "Crop Time is $10.00.

This Week's Card Class

What a wet week we are having here in North Port. Too wet for me!
Since it's so wet out here, I thought we would try something new. Instead of having the class out here at the studio, I am going to try having the class at the Panera Bread on Tamiami Trail. It is in the same plaza as the Hobby Lobby.

The classes will be at the same times as usual, Thursday at 6PM and Friday at 10AM. You will need your basic class kit. Class is $10.00.

Stampin' Up! is so "with it"!

I really have to say that I LOVE Stampin' Up! I have worked for the company for close to 12 years now and they are constantly trying new things and always eager to stay on the cutting edge of the stamping and paper crafting world as well as staying on top of the new technology available.

I just found out that there is a video imbedded in the cover of the new 2013-2014 Idea Book/Catalog. "Say what?", you say. Oh yeah. Right there, in front of our eyes. However, in order to see it, you need a smart phone or tablet. You will need to download the FREE app called Layar. Once you go that, you can scan the cover of the catalog and see a video.
