You have got to see THIS!!!

Last night, while my DH and I were talking with our oldest daughter, Katie, we notice that it has gotten quite quiet. Katie peeks into the living room to find Maggie like this.
Katie: "Maggie, get out of there before you rip it!"
Maggie: "I can't, I'm stuck!"
Katie: "Mom, get the camera, Maggie is stuck in her hamper!"
DH, myself and Katie are laughing hysterically and snapping pictures while Maggie is yelling, "Get me out of here and stop taking my picture!" Poor Maggie. The things she gets herself into, blow my mind.

I thought you would like to start your Friday with a smile! XO, Mimi

Black Friday Deals

I have got to show you what I got at my LSS on Friday. They had a sale from 12 to 2. We got 40% off of our entire purchase. It was a mad house. Boy was it worth it! I picked up these beautiful stamps from Technique Tuesday. To see both stamp sets, click on both links in blue. I am in love with them. They make, even the simplest card, elegant! That is the only shopping that I did that day. I am NOT a good crowd fighter. I would rather shop on line, in my p.j.s, with my coffee and NO crowds! With all the free shipping deals, you can't beat it.

Have a wonderful Wednesday! I hope to be going to Michaels later to play with the NEW Cricut. We get our store machine today and I promised to teach the other girls that work there how to use it. I am so excited! Santa had better be droppin' one of these under my tree! XO, Mimi

Someting to be Thankful for.

I hope that everyone had a wonderful time with family and friends. We had a lovely time at my Sister-in-laws and then at my Mom's. It was very nice to see everyone and for everyone to get along so well.
I took my camera, yet I didn't snap one picture. So, I will leave you with some photos from Tuesday when Maggie's class put on a Thanksgiving production for us.

Have a wonderful day! XO, Mimi

More Table Scraps

This is a little gift I made for Katie with some table scraps. The container is from some plastic letters. I used scraps of my softball paper and stickers. The 3 compartments are 3x4. It was quick and easy and, most importantly, she loves it. The finished photos show the front and back of the project.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great Tuesday. If I don't post before then, have a fabulous Turkey day! XO, Mimi

Quad-City Champs!!! Woo Hooo!!!!

My daughter, Katie, and her team, won the Championships in Softball. What a team she plays on. These girls are a force to be reckoned with. Most of them have been playing since they were 5 or 6. I hope Maggie sticks with it till she is 16. She will be awesome. I am so proud of Katie sticking with it. After she broke her leg last year, we didn't think she would play again. She broke her leg sliding into home and will not ever slide again, she says. And most of the girls that were there that day refuse to slide too. It was a freak accident. But it was bad. Anyhoo, she is back in the saddle and high on victory. Here are a couple shots of the girls with their Champagne, (sparkling Cider) and trophies.

Have a fabulous day and thanks for stopping by. XO, Mimi

Fun House Guests!

I know that I hinted, a while back, about house guests that I had. Well, here they are. First of all, we had Nora for a week and a half. When Leslie told me she was going out of town, I asked if we could watch Nora. She asked if we wanted her over Halloween too, since she has 2 costumes. Of course I do. So, we had Nora's company and Maggie and I loved it. Rick and Katie were not as thrilled. Too bad, so sad! Well, when Leslie came back to town, she missed Nora so much that she came for Halloween too. We had so much fun. We went on a hayride and through a haunted tunnel. Maggie, Nora and I dressed up as pirates. Yo ho ho! This is the book I made for Leslie and Nora to remember their visit.

Thanks for stopping by, on this beautiful Monday Morning! XO, Mimi

You Spice Up My Life!

Look at what my friend Milissa brought by for me. She had a couple leftovers of her kit this month and wanted to share. You have got to go see her great kit at Serendipity. She really cheered me up. I have the most wonderful friends!!
I'm sorry I haven't been around much. My mojo has gone on vacation, again. Every time my depression stops by, mojo leaves. I am beginning to see a pattern here!
So, while I am feeling a little creative, I thought I'd bless you with a little card I made today.

P.S. The golden piece on the card is a die-cut from K&Co. Great for cards and journaling!

Sorry for my absence!

I have no good excuse, just a little emotional and I cannot figure out why. Anyhoo, here are 3 cute little cards I made using Wallies. I think they are so cute. I added bling and glitter and a few stamps and sayings and Voila'!
Sorry for the poor quality pictures, I took them inside because it is gloomy here today! I promise to be back soon.

Maybe with some pictures of our house guest. Intrigued?

A Matching Set

This is a set of scrapbook pages and matching cards that I used a pattern to make. I am going to try to put a class together for Michaels. I really like how easy they were to put together. This is more of the RockStar paper from DCWV that I got for .25 each. Woo hoo!

Thanks for stopping by to check 'em out! I hope you have a fabulous day and weekend!

Some Fabulous Cards

I love how these cards turned out. I wanted to use up some of my DCWV Rockstar paper that is sooo cheap right now at Michaels. They are part of an ensemble for a class I will be giving. The class will also include three 2-page scrapbook spreads. Once I get the pictures on the pages I will post them for you to see. Right now I am having print cartridge issues. I tried the refill service at Walgreens and it did not work. So, I am off to get a refund and get a new cartridge. Oh well, it was worth a try.

Did you miss me?

So sorry for my absence. I don't even have a good excuse.

But, while I was away, I had a birthday!

I hit 42 on Tuesday and my Mom and friends made the day very special.

Here's a couple of pictures of some of the great gifts I rec'd. I also got some great cards. Some of them I cannot find. So sorry Judy, Bea and Carolina. But, here are the cards from Bonnielee and Kirsten.

The ribbon is from my sweet friend Kirsten who also took me to lunch at Panera. Woohoo!

The group of all the goodies is from Judy and Bea. WOW! There is sooo much there to play with! My Mom got me a bunch of clothes as well as an awesome coffee cup canister and a 3 tier basket for on my desk. My hubby and girls ordered me the ScorPal that I have wanted. It has been a great week. I love Birthdays!!!

Im' Done! Wanna See?

I'm done. At last. I finished the book for my Mom. This book is full of pictures of my Mom and Maggie making cookies. I found this book at the Target Dollar Spot and thought it looked like a cookie with a bite out of it. Perfect for a cookie book. I was going to give it to Mom for Christmas but I don't think I can wait. Her Birthday is October 14 and I will be hard pressed to keep quiet till then! LOL!

A Great Day with Mom

I had a great time with my Mom yesterday.
We hung out at K2 Scrapbook Studio in Sarasota, FL with my good friend, Pat.

Pat is getting ready to go to New Mexico for the hot air balloon festival. How cool is that?! She has got to be one of the most active and fun 70+ ladies I know and I love her dearly. Sorry Pat, for the age reveal.

Anyhoo, while at the K, I worked on some more cards with the Serendipity Kit that Milissa gave me. I hope you're not getting tired of it because I still have a bunch left!
Lookie, lookie at what I scored. They are board books in the shape of crowns and the ever popular bird. It sure does pay to hover while Candie opens the boxes that the UPS man delivers. They also got the Creative Cafe that was all over the net from CHA. I can hardly wait for them to assemble it. It's like a candy store counter for scrappers! I gotta pinch myself! Ouch!
Well, I have piles of laundry and a dirty house to tend to so, thanks for stopping by and drooling over my goodies! Have a great day!

My Alter Ego!

This is a teapot book that I made for Maggie. My Mother had taken pictures of Maggie and her friends having a tea party and I wanted to make a special way for her to remember it. After looking and looking and still not finding a board book in the shape of a teapot, I drew my own and cut it out with a razor knife. The round piece on top is a bubble with a picture of Maggie in it and it is made from resin.
The title of the book is Tea fro Three, My Friends and Me. You have to click on the photos to get a real good look at all of the stuff in the book. Maggie and my Mom really love this book and they look at it often.

Thanks for stopping by for a look into my Alter Ego! Have a terriffic Tuesday! I'm hangin' out with my Mom today!

There's still time to VOTE!

Voting is still open if you have not done it yet. I spent a little time watching other auditions this morning and I can, honestly say, I like Jorgia's the best. She is the most animated and really belts out the lyrics. I know that is important in stage acting. Others seemed too timid and afraid to move around. Which I don't understand because they are in the privacy of their own home. So, if they can't move freely there, how will they do on stage? Just MHO.

A very dear friend sent me an email to inform me that her sister-in-law was auditioning for RENT, (the Broadway show), and needs votes. Please take a moment, really, that's all it takes, to go to this link and cast a vote. You would be doing a good deed for someone you don't even know. Her name is Jorgia McAfee.

Thank you so much!
